BOBBY C. BAKER
Bobby Clarence Baker, 82, died Feb. 22, 2016. Bobby was born in Sampson County to the late Clarence Bryant Baker and Vinnie Thornton Baker. He was a graduate of Newton Grove High School and a member of Pleasant Union Christian Church. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Later in life Bobby made his living as an electrician.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 24, at 2 p.m. at the Thornton Family Cemetery in Newton Grove, N.C. The family will greet friends following the service and at other times at the home of his sister, Edith Denning, at 626 Hwy. 13 South, Goldsboro.
Bobby is survived by his son, Dale Baker and wife, Sherry; grandchildren, Adam, Eric and Lauren Baker, all of Four Oaks; sister, Edith Denning; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to “The Thornton Family Cemetery Fund,” c/o Wendell Thornton, 2508 Pine Needle Rd., Goldsboro NC 27534.
