James Edward "Jimmy" King Sr., 76, resident of the Faison area, died Monday, Feb. 22, at Vidant Pitt Hospital in Greenville.

He had been a longtime employee of Cottle Farms with Ned and Ron Cottle.

He was the son of the late Charlie E. and Louindia Jones King.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, James Edward King Jr. and Teresa King of Seven Springs; two grandchildren, Brittney King and Tyler King, a great-granddaughter, Raygen King all of Seven Springs; three brothers, Glenn King and fianceé, Lillie King, of Grifton, Gerald King and wife, Rita, of Louisville, Ky., and Wayne King and wife, Nancy, of Pembroke Pines, Fla.; a nephew, Troy King; and two nieces, Dawn Phillips and Ashley Patterson.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 26, at 11 a.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Paul Rose officiating, and followed by burial at Wayne Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 9 a.m.
