The Rev. Bessie Dyson Armstrong, 89, formerly of Mount Olive, died Saturday at Waugh Chapter Seniors Center in Gambrills, Md.
Funeral will be Saturday at noon at St. Mark Church of Christ, with Bishop Atlton Smith officiating. Burial will be in Carver Cemetery.
She was born in Wilmington Aug. 22, 1926, the daughter of the late Emanuel Dyson and Fannie Taylor, and wife of the late David L. Armstrong Sr.
Two sons survive.
Visitation will be 10 to noon at the church Saturday.
Arrangements are by Garris Funeral Home.
