LARRY WAYNE ALLEN

Larry Wayne Allen, Goldsboro, a devoted Christian, went home to be with his Lord and savior Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. He is currently waiting on the banks of Jordan for his loved ones to arrive.

Homegoing services will be held Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro. Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Sunday one hour prior to the service from 1 to 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Jacob and Ashlee Allen, 399 Charlie Braswell Road in Rosewood.

Larry was born in Wayne County Aug. 23, 1954, to the late Elcana "Buddy" and Rachel Jones Allen.

He was owner of Larry Allen Plumbing.

He is survived by his soulmate, Lily Sutton; three sons, Jonathan Wayne Allen and wife, Virginia, of Clinton, Justin Allen and wife, Heather, of Dudley and Jacob Allen and wife, Ashlee, of Rosewood; four sisters, Marie Jennette and husband, Kenneth, of Pikeville, Esther Massey of Goldsboro, Frances "Fran" Tyndall of Pikeville and Pam Sutton and husband, Randy, of Pikeville; two grandchildren, Mary Katherine Allen and Greyson Allen; sister-in-law, Myrtle Joan Allen; special nephew, Dr. Stephen E. Kearney Jr. ; and a host of other nieces, nephews, extended family and very special friends.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
