Amy Shoemaker Peart, 37, formerly of Goldsboro, passed away suddenly Friday at her home in Connecticut.

Amy was born in Goldsboro Aug. 15, 1978, and was the daughter of Jeff and Maureen Peart of South Dakota.

She will be remembered by many for her love of life and art and its varied possibilities.

She spent many hours with her cat, Princess Gracie, and she cherished that companionship through the years.

Amy had a smile that would make anyone light up with happiness. Although in this world only a short time, she brought such joy to everyone who met her, and the loss is felt immensely.

The family will receive friends Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015, from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, with Father Alex Gonzalez presiding.

In addition to her parents, Amy is survived by her husband, Rick Harl; children, Tyler Plante and Kylie Plante; sisters, Jennifer Corkern and husband, Matt, and their children, Lauren, Catie, Allison and John, and Emily Peart and fiancé, Lucas Theel; and maternal grandmother, Mary C. Bannon.

She is also survived by her aunts, Jacqui Whitmire and husband, Timothy, Joanne Bannon and Sharon Bannon, and several cousins she loved very much.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Joseph Bannon.
