Julia Bass Fields, 77, Mount Olive resident, died early Wednesday, Aug. 19, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, Aug. 20, at 11 a.m. in Faison Cemetery, with the Rev. Billy Webb officiating.
Family and friends will be received at the residence, 1211 Old Smith Chapel Road, Mount Olive.
Mrs. Fields was retired from the cafeteria at Mount Olive College.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Fields; her parents, Sam and Pearl Jackson Bass; and a brother, Joe Bass.
Her survivors include a daughter, Jackie F. Parker of Mount Olive; two sons and daughters-in-law, Sammy and Donna Fields of Faison and Jimmy and Kathy Fields of Mount Olive; six grandchildren, Travis Fields and wife, Michelle, Hannah Fields, Kyle Fields and wife, Brittany, Emily Parker, Maggie Parker and Abby Parker; a sister, Portia B. Anderson of Faison; and a special friend, Hilda Whitfield of Mount Olive.
