MAC RADFORD

June 24, 1938-May 2, 2015

James Malcolm "Mac" Radford, 76, Goldsboro, left this world to be with Jesus Saturday evening while surrounded by his family.

Mac was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend whose love for God, life and others was apparent to all who met him.

Mac was born in Wayne County June 24, 1938, to the late William Henry Radford and Ealia Sasser Radford.

As a longtime member of Spring Hill Free Will Baptist Church, he was instrumental through the years in many programs, and was a strong stabilizing force in the church operations and functions. Mac had a great love for singing gospel music in church with his family.

His first and favorite occupation, however, was a farmer, and many of his happiest times were spent atop a tractor on the family farm.

Mac also retired from Purina Mills in Wilson after 27 years of service.

The family will receive friends Monday, May 4, 2015, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Spring Hill Free Will Baptist Church, followed by a service celebrating Mac's life at 7 p.m., with Rev. Lewis Forsythe officiating. Interment will be Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at 10 a.m. in Wayne Memorial Park.

Mac is survived by his wife of 58 years, Frances Sutton Radford; sons, Randy Radford and wife, Wendy, Nelson Radford and wife, Faith, Doug Radford and wife, Pam, and Mark Radford and wife, Kim; grandchildren, Melissa Braswell and husband, Mitch, Hope Paugh, Will Radford and wife, Christina, Andrew Radford and wife, Allison, Nicole Radford, Joshua Radford, Leslie Radford, Lauren Radford and Alex Zunno; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews he loved very much.

In addition to his parents, Mac was preceded in death by his brothers, Elbert Radford, Earl Radford and Henry Radford Jr.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Spring Hill Free Will Baptist Church, 2127 U.S. 70 West, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.

Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.seymourfuneralhome.com.
