James Wesley Powell, 61, died Sunday at Barbour Court in Smithfield.
Funeral will be at a later date.
Born Feb. 8, 1954, he was the son of the late James Robert and Ora Mae Powell. He was married to Rosa Duncan Powell.
He is survived by a son and a daughter.
Arrangements are by Casey Funeral Home.
