Samuel Artis, 53, 216-A Davis St., Fayetteville, formerly of Mount Olive, died Saturday in Cape Fear Hospital.
Funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in James T. Haskins Memorial Chapel of Haskins Funeral Home. Burial will be Monday at noon with military honors in Sandhills Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake.
He was born Nov. 30, 1961, in Wayne County to Christopher Faircloth and Maggie Dyson. He was married to Nancy Artis.
He is survived by three children.
Visitation Saturday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will receive friends at 302 S. Johnson St., Mount Olive, where it will assemble for the funeral procession.
