Mother Lizzie Best Dobson Lofton, 96, 2052 U.S. 70 West, died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral will be Saturday at noon in Apostle D.L. McIntyre Memorial Chapel at McIntyre Funeral Home, with pastor Thelma Davis officiatng. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Park Cemetery.
She was born in Johnston County Jan. 6, 1919, to the late Caldon Bratley Dobson and Charlie Dobson.
Visitation will be Saturday from 11 to 11:50 a.m. in Apostle D. L. McIntyre Memorial Chapel at McIntyre Funeral Home.
Saturday, the family will assemble at 10:50 a.m. at minister Mary Odessa Faison's home, 105 Andrews Circle, Mount Olive, for the funeral procession.
