Mr. Ezekiel Harper Jr. was born April 5, 1923, to the late Ezekiel Harper Sr. and Ophelia Harper.
Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015, at 3:30 a.m. in Kitty Askins Center, God peacefully called him home.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Heniretta Hodges Harper of the home; a sister, Mary Harper Hicks of Fremont; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
His niece and nephew, Judy H. Hodges and Paul E. Harper Jr., went above and beyond the call of duty in taking special care of him.
There will be public viewing Friday, Feb. 20, 2015, from 2 to 6 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Home in Goldsboro.
Interment will be Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015, at noon at Broadhurst Family Cemetery in Seven Springs, N.C.
The family would like to thank Wayne Memorial Hospital, Davita-South, Carolina Nephrology, Pa., Rex Hospital, Brian Center and Kitty Askins Center for their kindness, and the family members who dedicated their time in taking care of him.
