WILSON -- Delores Maxine Britt, 70, lovingly known by his family and friends as "Lois," of 3100 Edinburgh Drive, departed her earthly life on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

"Lois" was born in Wayne County on Oct. 7, 1944 to the late Mrs. Mazzie Dickerson Britt and Mr. Harry Lee Britt Sr.

She received some of her education in the public school system of Wayne County at Central High School and O'Berry Training Center, Goldsboro, N.C.

During her younger days, Delores attended Mount Pleasant Free Will Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing with the church choir.

Funeral service will be conducted on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Apostle D. L. McIntyre Memorial Chapel at McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 S. George Street, Goldsboro. Pastor Jimmy A. Mumford will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, 545 Casey Mill Road, Dudley.

A public viewing will be held on Thursday from 10 to 10:50 a.m. in the Apostle D. L. McIntyre Memorial Chapel at McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 S. George Street, Goldsboro, with the family present.

Ms. Britt leaves to cherish her loving and precious memories her two sisters, Nina Britt-Thomas and husband, Roosvelt and Zannie "Christie" Britt; her two brothers, Jimmy LaMont Britt and Billy Earl Britt and wife, Margaret; her sisters- in-law, Aletha Summers Britt and Velma Britt; her special cousin, Mrs. Elnora Britt Grantham; and a host of special in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

On Thursday, family members and friends will assemble at 9:45 a.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 S. George Street, Goldsboro, in preparation for the funeral line-up.

Flowers may be sent to McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 S. George Street, Goldsboro, beginning on Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
