Joyce Edgerton Bridgers, 85, of 1706 Old Kenly Road, Pikeville, died Saturday morning.
She was born Dec. 25, 1928, in Wayne County and was the daughter of the late Roland Glenn Edgerton and Linda Brogden Edgerton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Linwood Graham Bridgers; and two sisters, Marjorie Edgerton and Lois Cuddington.
She was a member of Nahunta Friends Meeting.
The Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22 at Casey Funeral Home with the Rev. Eric Woods officiating.
The burial will follow in the Bridgers' family cemetery at the home.
She is survived by her daughter, Peggy B. Jordan and husband, Harvey, of Goldsboro; sister, Sallie Edgerton Wells of Pikeville; two grandchildren, Alice McKinney Kornegay and husband, Rayco, and Donna McKinney Hester; three great-grandchildren, Nathan McKinney, Kaylee McKinney and Luke Fassnacht; a special niece, Alicia Wells; a niece and nephews, Richard Cuddington, Brenda Brown, Glenn Wells and R.G. Wells.
The family will be receiving friends from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21 at Casey Funeral Home in Princeton.
