EDITH SCOTT SHORE

Mrs. Edith Scott Shore, 73, Goldsboro, formerly of Yadkin County, N.C., passed away peacefully Monday, Dec. 15, 2014, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
She was born March 26, 1941, in Yadkin County to the late Herman and Minnie Leamon Scott.
Mrs. Shore was a beloved, loving wife, mother and homemaker to her family. She lived a life of devotion and support while serving as a pastor's wife with her husband, Dr. John R. Shore, at Fellowship Baptist Church in Goldsboro.
She was a graduate of Boonville High School class of 1959, and was an active member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Goldsboro.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Sarah Stokes, and brothers, Buford Scott, J.D. Scott and Wade Scott.
Surviving are her husband, Dr. John R. Shore, whom she married Dec. 23, 1960, of the home; her sons, John Randy Shore and Scotty Dwayne Shore; her daughter, Rebecca Shore Mulligan and husband, William "Bill" Mulligan; a brother, Roger Scott; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
Her funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday in Gentry Family chapel with her husband, Dr. John R. Shore, and her son-in-law, the Rev. Bill Mulligan, officiating. Burial will follow in Turners Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
