James Garland Howell, 85, Snow Hill, died Saturday.
Funeral will be tonight at 7 at the chapel of Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service, with the Rev. Danny Hamm officiating. Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Snow Hill Cemetery.
He was a native of Greene County. He was married to Grace Lancaster Howell.
He is survived by three children.
Visitation will follow the service tonight, and at other times, the family will be at the home.
