Geraldine Brewington, 57, 306 W. Chestnut St., succumbed to the Lord's call Saturday in Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
She was born May 21, 1957, to David and Mildred McDuffie Brewington in Wayne County.
Her life will be celebrated Friday at 1 p.m. at Elm Grove Church Ministries, Pikeville, with her brother, minister James Jones, officiating. Her mortal frame will be laid to rest in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Loving memories are cherished by her son, Delinwood Montrell Brewington; a granddaughter, Shakira Brewington; two nephews whom she raised, David and Anthony Brewington of the home; her siblings, Elizabeth Brewington of the home, Gladys Miller, Linda Raiford, Mellar Raiford, Stephanie Brewington, Teresa McCant and James Jones all of Goldsboro, Gloria Alston of Dudley, Beverly Williams of Pittsboro and Cheryl Pridgen of Clayton; and a host other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation Thursday from 2 to 6 p.m. at Haskins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the residence, where it will assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
