WILLIAM GREY WYNN

Nov. 3, 1923-Sept. 26, 2014William Grey Wynn, 90, passed away on Friday, Sept. 26, 2014, at the Clare Bridge Memory Care in Wilmington.

Mr. Wynn was born in Wayne County on Nov. 3, 1923, to the late J.W. and Gertrude Carrawan Wynn. He was married to the late Sudie Cleo Carraway Wynn.

Mr. Wynn retired in 1988 from Comer Brothers Lumber Co. and he proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of Daniels Memorial United Methodist Church, and formerly of Ebenezer United Methodist Church and Smith Chapel United Methodist Church.

The family will receive friends today from 1 to 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service at 2 p.m. in the chapel, with the Rev. Robert Bandy officiating. Interment will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

Mr. Wynn is survived by his son, Michael Wynn and wife, Sharon, of Avon; daughters, Mary Jo Pope and husband, Roy, of Four Oaks and Susan Wynn of Wilmington; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Connie Coker.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Daniels Memorial United Methodist Church, 2803 E. Ash St., Goldsboro, NC 27530.
