JESSIE LEE OUTLAW

Jessie Lee Parnell Wiggs Outlaw, 92, passed away suddenly on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014, at Rex Hospital surrounded by her family.

Jessie was born in Wayne County on April 2, 1922, to the late Kagie and Gracie Talton Parnell. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Cooper Lee Wiggs and Irvin Manley Outlaw.

Jessie retired from Borden Manufacturing Co. in Goldsboro after 25 years of service. She was a longtime member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. She was devoted to her church and was involved in many activities where she utilized her gifts and abilities to share the love of God. Jessie was a beautiful person whose loving spirit and ever present smile radiated the joy she experienced in living every day of her life.

A service celebrating Jessie's life will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 29, 2014, in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with her pastor, Linda Grider, officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

Jessie is survived by her son, Donnie Cooper Wiggs and wife, JoAnn, of Goldsboro; daughter, Melody O. Bryan of Wilmington; brother, Bernice Parnell and wife, Yvonne, of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Donnie Franklin Wiggs, Jamie Cooper Wiggs, Jonathan Lee Wiggs and wife, Angie, Kader Bryan, Briana Bryan, Trevor Greene and Lindsey Wydner; and great-grandchildren, Morgan Wiggs, Ethan Wiggs, Hayden Wiggs, Jon Hair, Bailey Hair, Taylor Hair, Veronica Green and Jonathan Widner. She is also survived by her half-sisters, Grace Worley and Frances Woodard of Princeton; and several nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

In addition to her husbands and parents, Jessie was preceded in death by her sisters, Mildred P. Warren, Margaret P. Meadows, Arvona P. Eason and Eloise P. Deans; and brother, Kagie "Tony" Parnell.

Flowers are welcome or the family suggests memorials be given to Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 3859 U.S. 70 West Hwy., Goldsboro, NC 27530.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2014, at Seymour Funeral Home and at other times at her home.
