ORA 'ED' BRADSHAW, SR.

Edward "Ed" Bradshaw, 73, of Goldsboro died Friday afternoon along with his wife, Doris Overbee Bradshaw as a result of a traffic accident in Duplin County. Born in Duplin County, he was the son of the late Dallas Holt and Pearl Worrell Bradshaw and was preceded in death by brothers Delmon and Gene Bradshaw.

Ed was an avid farmer all of his life and enjoyed being a charter boat captain in the past at Surf City. He had been a member of the Faison Fire Department and Spring Hill Church.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Faison Cemetery with the Rev. Fred Crank officiating. The family will receive friends at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home tonight from 7-9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Faison Fire Rescue Dept. P.O. Box 758, Faison, N.C. 28341.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Ed Jr. and Joanie Bradshaw of Goldsboro, and a daughter, Teresa Bradshaw of Kinston, N.C. He is also survived by two sisters and a brother-in-law, Alice and Ted Tillman and Kathryn Forehand of Goldsboro, two grandchildren, Bradley Bradshaw and his wife, Heather of Faison, N.C. and Matthew Bradshaw of Goldsboro, and a great- granddaughter, Maysa Bradshaw of Faison, N.C.
