MILDRED S. McMICHAEL

WINSTON-SALEM -- Mildred Swain McMichael, 94, died on June 18. She served as a lieutenant in the Women's Army Corp in New Guinea and The Philippines during WWII.
She is survived by Josephus J. McMichael (Mary Margaret) of Surf City, Margaret M. Casey (Dennis) of Winston-Salem, and John McMichael (Ellen) of Greensboro; grandchildren Lindsay Prickett (Warren) of Wilmington, Jay McMichael of Mount Olive, Kate Linder of Winston-Salem, and Sarah Vandergrift (Jon) of Charlotte; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Sunday in Winston-Salem.
