OTINA KELLY GLASPIE

Mrs. Otina Kelly Glaspie, 74, 202 Gainey Drive, Goldsboro, N.C., departed her earthly life Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at her residence.

Otina was born in Wayne County, N.C., May 2, 1940. She was born to the late Mrs. Vera Royal-Kelly and Mr. Walter Kelly.

She received her education in the public school system of Wayne County.

Otina was employed with the Wayne County school system, where she served as a teacher's assistant until she retired.

She was a member of Saint Mark Free Will Baptist Church in Mount Olive, N.C., where she served as a member of the Pastor's Aid Organization and under the leadership of pastor Merwyn Smith.

Mrs. Glaspie was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Robert James Glaspie Jr., and her sister, Mrs. Lillian Best.

Funeral service will be conducted Sunday, June 22, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Saint Mark Free Will Baptist Church, 222 Nelson St., Mount Olive, N.C. Pastor Merwyn Smith will officiate. Interment will follow in Wayne Memorial Park North Cemetery, 1191 Old Grantham Road, Goldsboro, N.C.

Also, a public viewing will be held Sunday, June 22, 2014, in Saint Mark Free Will Baptist Church, 222 Nelson St., Mount Olive, N.C., from 12:30 to 2 p.m.

Mrs. Glaspie leaves to cherish her loving and precious memories to her daughters, Nichelle Hamilton and Laura Glaspie; her sons, Shoenleber Glaspie and Cianci Glaspie; a special granddaughter, Santucci Glaspie; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Barnett and Geraldine Hagans; a brother, Walter Kelly Jr. (Juanita); a special niece, Jacqueline Hale (Don); a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends; and her church family members.

Sunday, June 22, 2014, family and friends
will assemble at the
residence of Mrs. Nichelle Hamilton, 202 Gainey Drive, Goldsboro, N.C., at 11:15 a.m. in preparation for the funeral precession.

Flowers may be sent to McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 S. George St., Goldsboro, N.C., beginning Saturday, June 21, 2014, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
