Shirley Mae Mossburg, 83, Goldsboro, passed away Monday, June 2, 2014, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center with her family at her side.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2014, at First Christian Church, with Dr. Fred Clarke officiating.
She is survived by her six children, Diane Triplett (Dennis) of Pittsburgh, Pa., Bob Sweadner (Sharon) of Pittsburgh, Pa., Debbie Vaccaro (Gary) of Goldsboro, Judy Baird (Steve) of Pittsburgh, Pa., Ross Sweadner (Theresa) of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Ken Sweadner of Greenville, N.C.; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Marion Young of Chicago, Ill.; and special friends, Mic and Harry Gardner of Goldsboro.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to First Christian Church, 1609 E. Ash S., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
