ANNIE MAE BROADHURST

Mrs. Annia Mae Broadhurst, Indian Springs, daughter of the late Callie Jones, was born Aug. 16, 1932, in Lenoir County. She departed this earthly life June 4, 2014, at Kitty Askins hospice of Goldsboro, N.C.
Public visitation hours will be held at J.B. Rhodes Funeral home June 7, 2014, between the hours of 1 and 4 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. at Best Chapel Free Will Baptist Church of Seven Springs, N.C., where she was an active member of the Best Chapel usher board until her health prevented her to do so. Elder Aaron Lee Jarman and the Rev. Clifton Jones Sr. will be presiding. Burial will be in Broadhurst family cemetery of Seven Springs.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Johnnie Lee Broadhurst; daughter, Mary Diana Broadhurst; grandson, Nathaniel Broadhurst Jr.; and a great-granddaughter.
She is survived by two daughters, Johnnie Denise Dyson (Willie) of Dudley, NC., and Nina Parker Johnson (James) of Dudley; two sons, Nathaniel Broadhurst Sr. (Donnie) of Dudley, N.C., and James Earl Broadhurst Sr. of Goldsboro, N.C.; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; two former daughters-in-law, Patricia Sutton and Nanette Broadhurst; several adopted children, including a special daughter, Patrisia Underdue; and a host of cousins and friends.
