Mrs. Annie Barwick Williamson Brown, longtime Faison resident, after having lived 95 years and enjoying a godly life, went to be with her heavenly father early Thursday morning, May 29, while being cared for at Genesis Care Center of Mount Olive.

Her life will be celebrated in a funeral service to be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 1, at Faison Baptist Church, with the Rev. Paul Rose and the Rev. Rudolph Outlaw officiating, after which the family will receive friends.

Family and friends are also welcome to call at the Brown residence in Faison.

"Miss Annie" is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ralph and Ann Byrd Williamson of Grantham and Alton Williamson of Hampden, Maine; eight grandchildren, Ann Downs, Susan Leach, Glen Williamson, Lisa Ashford, Andrea English, Rob Williamson, Cheryl W. Kornegay and Bryan Williamson; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her two beloved husbands, first, Roland P. Williamson, her children's father, who died a premature death, and then, Marsden Henry Brown, who lovingly and devotedly filled a father's and granddaddy's role; a son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Marvene Williamson; another daughter-in-law, Eleanor Williamson; a great-granddaughter; her parents, Ben and Sarah Carter Barwick; her three brothers; and four sisters.

Mrs. Brown's life was that of loving and serving others. Her calling was that of being a nurse, retiring after 19 years of employment with her good friend, Dr. Hervy Kornegay Sr. and Family Medicine Center.

She also served for 35 years with Faison Fire and Rescue.

She was a faithful servant of her Lord and fellow man at Faison Baptist Church, where she had been a deacon and Sunday school teacher.
