Mary Christine Hester Hollamon, 89, Goldsboro, passed away Thursday at Wake Med surrounded by her family.
Christine was born in Johnston County, N.C., Nov. 13, 1924, to the late Walter Edgar Hester and Ida Woodard Hester.
She was married to the late Dallas Otto "Crick" Hollamon, and they owned and operated Sandhill Grocery.
Christine was a member of Providence United Methodist Church.
She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Christine will always be loved by her children, and will be greatly missed by those who knew her.
The family will receive friends Monday, June 2, 2014, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 2:30 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park, with the Rev. Bill Rose officiating.
She is survived by her sons, Edgar Eugene Hollamon and Jesse Paul Hollamon; grandchildren, Toni Renee Bullock, Angie Hollamon Blanton, Chad Eric Hollamon, Brandon Scott Hollamon, Michael Warren Hollamon and William Scott Hollamon; seven great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
