Agnes Pender Hart, 89, Goldsboro, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 29, 2014, at her home surrounded by her family.

Agnes was born in Wayne County May 11, 1925, to the late Frank and Mattie McKeel Pender. She was married to the late Raymond Hart.

Agnes worked for many years as the bookkeeper for Goldsboro Nursery.

She was a member of Harvest Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 31, 2014, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Pete Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

Agnes is survived by her sons, Steve Davis and Ricky Davis; daughter, Betsy Outlaw and husband, Glenn; stepdaughter, Dianne Swicegood; sisters, Hazel Smith, Shirley Johnson and Grace Stelly; seven grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Davis; grandson, Brent Wiggins; daughter-in-law, Lori Davis; brothers, Marvin Pender and Lloyd Pender; and sister, Harlowe Jurney.

The family will receive friends Friday, May 30, 2014, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at her home, 135 Blueberry Road, Goldsboro.
