Mr. Leonard Franklin Kornegay, 83, 402 Brogden St., Dudley, died Monday, April 28, 2014, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 3, 2014, at 1 p.m. at Greater St. John Free Will Baptist Church, 613 Mitchell Road, Dudley, N.C. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park North, Old Grantham Road, Goldsboro.
A public visitation will be held Friday from 2 to 7 p.m., with the family present from 6 to 7 p.m.
Mr. Kornegay is survived by his wife, Beulah Kornegay; his children, Linda Singleton, Sharon Best and Harry, Ben, Nathaniel, Jonah, Donald and Tim Kornegay; and a brother, Richard Kornegay.
Mr. Kornegay was the son of the late Floyd and Parmelia Grandy Kornegay.
The family will assemble an prior to the service at 402 Brogden St., Dudley, in preparation for the procession.
Hamilton Funeral Chapel is serving the family.
