TOPSAIL BEACH -- Louise Woodard Shepard, 93, Topsail Beach, N.C., wife of the late William H. Shepard Jr., died Feb. 14, 2014.
Louise was born Dec. 19, 1920, in Kenly, N.C.
Louise was also preceded in death by her daughter, Louise Shepard Gordon, who is survived by her husband James C. Gordon.
She is survived by three children, Mary Sneeden and her husband, Stan, William H. Shepard and his wife, Debbie, and James Revel Shepard and wife, Carmen.
Louise was also blessed to have 19 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Louise's life will be held at Emma Anderson Memorial Chapel in the fellowship hall in Topsail Beach, N.C., Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, at 2:30 p.m. Food will be provided.
Louise graduated from East Carolina Teacher's College in 1938.
She donated her body to the Brody Medical School at East Carolina University.
On the first anniversary of her death, a graveside service will be held at Onslow Memorial Park.
