W. WAYNE MCFADDEN

W. Wayne McFadden, 79, passed away Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, at his home.
Wayne was born in Elsinor, Mo., Aug. 27, 1934, to the late Richard and Mabel Kelley McFadden.
He proudly served his country for 20 years in the United States Air Force.
Following his military career, Wayne worked with the Washington, D.C., Metro Transit until retirement.
Wayne will forever be remembered for his love of bowling, running in marathons and traveling the globe with his wife, Shirlee.
Wayne is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Shirlee; his children, Kara, Jim and Doug; grandchildren, Christian and Alexis of Charleston, W. Va.; daughter, Cynthia; brother, Richard McFadden of San Antonio, Texas; sister, Sherley Gilfedder of Washington, Pa.; and brother, Robert McFadden of Massillon, Ohio.
The family will gather for a time of visitation Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, Goldsboro, N.C.
