Ronald "Ronnie" Eugene West, 73, passed away Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A private service will be held at a later date.
Ronnie was born in Wayne County May 1, 1940, to the late Herbert and Laura Long West.
He was retired from Deacon Jones Ford in Goldsboro.
He loved his animals and spending time in his yard.
He is survived by his loving wife, Livia West; a daughter, Sandy Spell and husband, Tony, of Clinton; two sisters, Margaret Ann Kornegay and husband, Ed, of Goldsboro and Peggy McIntyre of South Carolina; and a grandson, Christopher Sykes.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any children's hospital.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
