NAN S. GRADY SUTTON

MOUNT OLIVE -- Nan Scott Grady Sutton, 83, passed away Monday evening, Nov. 25, 2013, while at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Born in Duplin County, she was the daughter of the late Conrad and Cora Walton Scott, and the widow of David Earl Sutton.

She was a retired sales clerk, having been a longtime employee of the former Belk-Tyhler's Department Store in Mount Olive.

She attended Brownings United Methodist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Jo Carol Dowles of Charlotte and Sara Zeppelin and husband, Tim, of Goldsboro; three sons, Joseph Grady Jr. and wife, Anita, of Monroe, Tony Grady and wife, Cathy, of Mount Olive and Scott Grady and wife, Jamie, of Mount Olive; three grandchildren, Anthony Grady, Jenny Leigh Grady and Kelly Dowles; two brothers, Bernice Scott of Hope Mills and Leroy Scott and wife, Mary, of Portsmouth, Va.; and two sisters, Kathleen Davis and husband, Jimmy, of Hope Mills and Ruth Wiley of Deep Run.

She was also the mother of the late Charles Kimbell Grady.

Services to remember the life of Mrs. Sutton will be held Friday, Nov. 29, at 2 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral chapel, officiated by the Rev. Leland Heath Jr. and the Rev. Patrick Muston, with burial immediately following at Wayne Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home during the hour before the services Friday and at other times, at the home of Tony and Cathy Grady, 1507 Grantham School Road, Mount Olive.
