LINWOOD M. GAINEY

Linwood Martin Gainey, 76, Goldsboro, passed away Saturday evening at Willow Creek nursing home.
He was the son of the late Needham and Hazel Gainey, and husband of Rose Gainey.
Mr. Gainey owned and operated a carpet store in Goldsboro after graduating from Goldsboro High School and serving in the United States Army.
From 1972-1973 he served as president of the Goldsboro Jaycees.
Friends will be greeted at the home of Marie Smith, 129 Lane St., Pikeville.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Linwood Needham Gainey and George Wohlgemuth, and a beloved sister, Marie Smith.
