KRISTI B. SCHREMP

Died Sept. 18, 2013

Kristi Michele Bailey Schremp, 35, was called home Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, after a long battle with cancer, surrounded by her family.

The life she lived was one of grace, love and compassion for others that could not be diminished by the sickness she endured. Kristi was a beautiful person whose loving spirit and ever-present smile radiated the joy she experienced in living every day of her life.

She was deeply devoted to her family, and was happiest when she was spending time in family/friend gatherings or with the "angel of her life," her daughter, Baylee.

In her battle with cancer, she was a constant inspiration, and those who knew her will always remember her joy in living, her laughter, her positive attitude, her caring and loving ways and of course, her courage.

Kristi was the founder of Sozo Therapy, which is a non-profit that seeks to inspire and empower people who are battling an illness, stress and anxiety or depression, through God's Word. The ministry will continue through her family and friends and a legacy that will be passed on to her daughter.

A service celebrating the life of Kristi will be held Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, at 7 p.m. at New Beginnings Community Church in Greenville, of which she was a member, with pastor Israel Campbell officiating.

The family will receive friends Friday in the hour prior to her celebration service and immediately following the service at the church.

A second service celebrating the life of Kristi will be held Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at 4 p.m. at The First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Goldsboro, with the Rev. Bill Rose and pastor Israel Campbell officiating.

The family will greet friends Saturday immediately following the service in the church foyer.

Interment will be Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, at 3 p.m. in Wayne Memorial Park.

Kristi is survived by her husband of 15 years, Greg Schremp; her daughter and the apple of her eye, Baylee Elisabeth Schremp; parents, Johnnie and Kenetha Bailey of Bailey; sister, Tracey Diane Bailey Payne and husband, John, of Goldsboro; mother-in-law, Elizabeth H. Schremp and companion, Kevin Kirrane of Leland; and paternal grandmother, Sarah Pauline Bailey of Goldsboro.

With loving gratitude, the family would like to express a special thanks to the doctors and caregivers who showed Kristi love during her battle with cancer.

Flowers are welcome or you may help the family continue Kristi's Legacy with Sozo Therapy and with Baylee's education through gifts to the Kristi Bailey Schremp Contribution Account, 1100 The First Church Road, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.

"For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me that day; and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing." II Timothy 4:6-8
