BILLY LEE PRICE

Billy Lee Price, 81, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by his family.
Billy was born in Boone County, W.Va., Nov. 25, 1931, to the late Dewey Edward Price and Mamie Wills Price.
He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, retiring as a technical sergeant with 22 years of service.
Following his military career, Billy worked with Carolina Power and Light Co., retiring after 15 years of service.
Billy was a true sportsman, most comfortable outdoors, on the water or in the woods. He was a hunter of big and small game, and loved walking in the woods and fields with a gun.
Billy also loved all sports and especially bowling as well as bingo.
He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a member of Wayne Masonic Lodge No. 112 A.F. and A.M.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bill Rose officiating. Interment will be Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at 11 a.m. in Wayne Memorial Park with military honors.
The family will receive friends Friday following the service at Seymour Funeral Home.
Billy is survived by his wife of 59 years, Norma JoAnne Price; daughters, Rose M. Price of Goldsboro and Tina Elaine Poe and husband, Dan, of Yuba City, Calif.; son, Douglas R. Price and wife, Jane, of Gloucester, Va.; grandchildren, Amy L. Fulcher and special friend, Brady Shuemaker, Amanda J. McGinty and husband, David, Joshua Poe and wife, Julissa, Jordan Poe and wife, Ana, Randy Price, Will Price and wife, Gretchen, and Joe Price; and eight great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by a brother, John Price of McMinnville, Ore., and a half-sister, Sharon Riggleman of Uneeda, W.Va.
