LLOYD RONALD PUGH

WILMINGTON, Del. -- Lloyd Ronald Pugh, 100, formerly of Goldsboro, passed away Monday, June 24, 2013, at Ingleside Retirement Home in Wilmington, Del.

Lloyd was born in Randolph County May 13, 1913, to the late Jesse B. and Bertie Luther Pugh.

He was married to the late Verna Lee Alexander Pugh and the late Dorothy Norris Pugh.

Lloyd retired from civil service in Goldsboro, and was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.

He was also a former member of the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineering Society and Golden K Kiwanis.

The family will receive friends Saturday, June 29, 2013, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by his funeral service at 11 a.m. in the chapel, with the Rev. James Harry officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

Lloyd is survived by his daughter, Barbara Lassiter and husband, Jon, of Wilmington, Del.; his granddaughter, Laura Oliver and husband, Michael; great-grandson, Nicholas Charles Oliver; his grandson, Ronald Lassiter and wife, Christine; and great-grandsons, Joshua Thomas Lassiter and Benjamin Lee Lassiter.

He is also survived by many nephews and nieces, of whom he was very fond.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Sadie Routh, Iva Alexander, Fanny Davis, Gladys Hancock, Josephine Davis, and Doris Pugh, and his brothers, Grady Pugh and J.B. Pugh.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in his memory to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 204 E. Chestnut St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
