Lawrence "Steve" Stephen Williams, 66, South Center Street, passed away Wednesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
A celebration of his life will be held Friday evening, June 14, 2013, at 7 p.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends following the service.
Mr. Williams was born in Wayne County Jan. 14, 1947, to the late Oscar and Lucille Smith Williams.
He was a veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife, Bernadette Williams; his daughter, Catherine Williams of Goldsboro; six brothers, David Williams of Maryland, Tony Williams of North Carolina, Greg Williams of North Carolina, Andy Williams of North Carolina, Mark Williams of North Carolina and Danny Williams of North Carolina; and three sisters, Cecilia Hollinder of Montana, Rose Mary Litte of North Carolina and Barbara Elam of North Carolina.
The family is being served by Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
