SMITHFIELD -- The Rev. Van C. Joyner, 51, 412 E. Rose St., died Sunday at Duke Medical Center Durham.
Funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at St. James AME Zion Church.
He was born Oct. 19, 1961, to Leroy Webb and Mary Elizabeth Joyner in Wayne County.
Visitation will be Friday from 2 to 7 p.m. at Haskins Funeral Home, with the family present from 6 to 7 p.m.
At other times, the family will receive friends at 172 Booker St. in Pikeville, where it will assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
