CALYPSO -- Timothy Gray Barfield, 49, passed away Sunday evening, May 5, 2013, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 8, at 3 p.m. at Calypso Cemetery, officiated by Dr. Greg Day.
Family and friends are being received at the home of his mother at 104 Church St. in Calypso.
Timmy is survived by his son, Nicholas Gray Barfield of the home; his mother, Thelma Batson Barfield of Calypso; a sister, Belinda Barfield Gregory and husband, Don, of Calypso; a brother, Glenn Barfield and wife, Barbara, of Mount Olive; a nephew, Donald Gregory of Calypso; and three nieces, Amber Barfield of Atlanta, Ga., and Tiffany Griffin and husband, Jonathan, and Christy Quinn and husband, Joseph, all of Mount Olive.
Timmy's dad, Norwood Glenn Barfield, preceded him in death.
Timmy was a member of the 1981 graduating class of North Duplin High School.
Before becoming disabled, he worked in construction, and in the used car business before becoming associated with Bobby Denning Furniture Co., and later with Computer World in Warsaw.
