KENLY -- Joseph Thomas "Jay" Sauls, 75, 517 Dogwood Lane, passed away May 3, 2013, at Rex Hospital.
He was born March 27, 1938, in Wayne County to the late Jesse Joseph and Essie Hill Sauls.
He is survived by wife, Jean Jones Sauls; daughters, Carol Batchlor and husband, Phil, Elaine Pittman and husband, Billy, and Sharon Creech and husband, Stan; sons, Brian Sauls and wife, Jessica, and Jerry Sasser; sister, Hazel Barnes; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several niece and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. in Minshew-Coley Funeral Home chapel. Dr. Wayne Hargrove and the Rev. Billy Pittman will officiate.
Visitation will follow the service.
Graveside service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
