RICHARD ALLEN PATE

Richard Allen Pate, 65, passed away Tuesday evening at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.
Born in Havelock, he was the son of Herman Jarvis II and Dollie Mozingo Pate.
He was retired from the Wayne County public schools.
Memorial services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with Mr. Horace Modlin officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service.
He is survived by three brothers, Graham Keith Pate of Goldsboro, Gary Michael Pate and wife, Sherry Ann, of Fayetteville and Gregory Lance and wife, Hope, of Jacksonville, Fla., and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Herman Jarvis Pate III.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to the Richard Pate Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 167, Goldsboro, N.C., 27533.
