ELMER W. SMITH

Elmer Wayne Smith, 74, Chadron, Neb., passed away on April 19, 2013, at the Ponderosa Villa in Crawford, Neb.
Elmer was born on July 9, 1938, in Pueblo, Colo.
Wayne served with the United States Air Force from 1958 to 1977, primarily as a fireman. He loved to travel and visit with family and friends.
His survivors include his wife, Mary Kay Smith of Chadron, Neb.; sons, Ray (Kelli) Smith of Guthrie Center, Iowa, Hank (Chris) Smith of Pikeville, N.C., and E. Wayne (Theresa) Smith of Fremont, N.C.; daughter, La Vena (Dwight) Perry of Goldsboro, N.C.; stepchildren, Duke Wardle, Keith Wardle, Kathy Phelps, Stuart Wardle, Karen Jensen and Steven Wardle; and adopted children, Robert Smith and Christina Smith.
