ROY L. DIXON JR.

Minister Roy Lee Dixon Jr., 67, was born Sept. 28, 1945, in Wayne County to the late Roy Lee Dixon Sr. and Rematha Cobb Dixon.
On April 21, 2013, he departed this life doing what he loved, at church, singing to the glory of God. His last song, written by him and sung on the day of his transition, was "We Must Live by the Word of God."
Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 27, at Gospel Tabernacle Church of Deliverance, 1015 N. James St., Goldsboro, with Bishop Leamon Sykes officiating. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery on Martin Luther King Boulevard, Goldsboro. Visitation was Friday.
The family will receive friends at 309 Brogden St., Dudley.
