DUDLEY -- Albert Ray Davis Sr., 56, 191 Outlaw Road, Dudley, passed away Saturday at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.
He was born to Edward and Mary Foster Davis June 10, 1956, in Seven Springs, N.C.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Gospel Light United Holy Church in Mount Olive, with Dr. Dwight Morrisey officiating.
He was preceded in the silent halls of death by his wife, elder Shirlene Hagans Davis, and his father.
He is survived by his children, Yolanda Newkirk and husband, Tyreese, of Dudley, Albert Davis Jr. and wife, Bobbie, of Okinawa, Japan, Charlie of Davis of Dudley and Thelma Kornegay and husband, Monte, of Seven Springs; grandchildren, Kianna, Mahogany, Monte Jr., Albert III and Kaylene; his mother, Mary Foster Davis; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends at 110 Dell Road, Dudley, where it will assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.

MOUNT OLIVE -- Mary Frances Barwick Davis, 82, N.C. 55 West, passed away Wednesday morning, April 3, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 6, at Calypso Cemetery, officiated by the Rev. Russ Evans.
The family will have visitation at Tyndall Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, April 5, and at other times at the residence.
She was retired from Hardee's Food Systems with 22 years of service as a location manager.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luby and Irene Andrews Barwick, and a brother, Norman V. Barwick.
Survivors include her husband, Emmett Cecil Davis of the home; a daughter, Terri Davis of the home; two sons, Gene Hines and wife, Virginia, of Calypso, and Steve Rhodes and wife, Daphne, of Rosewood; a sister, Merle Rose Whaley of Dudley; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Evelyn W. Hill of Goldsboro.
