Retired Master Sgt. James Gordon Turton, 73, resident of Lenoir Assisted Living in Kinston, formerly of Pikeville, died Sunday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.
Graveside service will be Monday at 10 a.m. in Pikeville Cemetery with full military honors.
He was born Sept. 23, 1939, to Gordon and Bessie Phieffer Turton in New York.
He is survived by four children.
Arrangements are by Haskins Funeral Home.
