PINKNEY -- R.A. Sasser Jr., Pinkney, was promoted March 19 surrounded by his family.
A lifetime farmer and accountant, he is survived by two sons, R.A. Sasser III and wife, Dana, and Rudy Aycock Sasser and wife, Joy; grandchildren, John Avery Sasser, Rudy Barden Sasser, C.J. Radford and Brooke Radford; friend and companion, Margaret Edgerton; two sisters, Ernestine McKeel and husband, Jarvis, and Mary Lee Fulghum; the mother of his children, Harlene Sasser; special caregiver, Cynthia Rowe; and many friends.
A graveside service was held Thursday, March 21.
Memorials should be made to one's favorite charity.
The family appreciates all the kind words, thoughts and prayers. A special thanks to Dr. Shaun Donegan and staff of Cancer Centers of North Carolina for their care.
The family was served by Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont.
