Annie Mae Mumford Matthews was born July 19, 1927, to the late Arthur and Flossie Mumford of Goldsboro, N.C. She was called from labor to reward Friday, March 15, 2013.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories a son, Ralph Earl Mumford; a daughter, Denise (Nathaniel) McCullen; two stepsons, Winfred Gerald Matthews and Marichal Matthews; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Barnes Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will be held following services at Baldwin Cemetery.
The family is receiving friends at 1104 Devereaux St.
Arrangements have been entrusted to E.M. Matthews Funeral Home and Cremation Inc.
