Aline Casey Hines, 82, of 204 New Hope Village Drive, died Tuesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Sam Henry and Addie Daniels Casey and was married to Silas Russell Hines for 51 years. A retired health-care technician with Cherry Hospital, she was a member of Westwood United Methodist Church, where she served as a member of Brothers Keepers and United Methodist Women. Aline enjoyed traveling, special occasions with her family, gardening and shopping.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home with the Rev. Allen Ham officiating.

Interment will be Friday morning at 11:30 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.

Aline is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Gale and Ken Vause, and Sherry and Richard Smith of Goldsboro; granddaughters and husbands, Shannon and John Powell of Kinston, and Candace and Kris Pate of Goldsboro. Great-grandchildren include Landon and Casey Powell, Nicholas Hildebrandt and Kendle Pate. She is also survived by her special companion and pet, Carmen.

The family will greet friends immediately following the service on Thursday at Howell Funeral Home, and at other times at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Gale and Ken Vause, at 104 Burnham Place, Goldsboro. Flowers are welcome or memorial gifts may be directed to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro. The family extends a very special thanks to the staff and management of Kitty Askins for their special care, dignity and attention during this difficult time.
