DOUGLAS CASEY

SEVEN SPRINGS -- William Douglas "Doug" Casey, 64, passed away Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Services will be held Monday, Jan. 28, at 2 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home with burial following in Pineview Cemetery.

The family will have visitation at the funeral home today, Jan. 27, from 4 until 6 p.m., and at the home at other times.

During the course of his working career, Doug had been a poultry farmer, a cabinet maker, a delivery man for Pepsi-Cola, and in recent years, he had been a truck driver and delivery man for Seven Springs Supply Company which evolved into Tidewater Energy. He had been a member of Seven Springs Volunteer Fire Department for 28 years, serving as chief for four of those years.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Patricia Stroud Casey of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Donna Lynn and Clarence Snair of Beaver Falls, Penn.; a son and daughter-in-law, William Lee and Stacey Casey of Seven Springs; three grandchildren, Beverly Ann Casey, Joshua David Snair, and William Cameron Casey; a sister, Eva F. Casey of Seven Springs; a brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Janice Casey of Raleigh; a brother-in-law, James Stroud of Goldsboro; a sister-in-law, Terri Arnette and husband, Glenn, of Pink Hill; three nephews and their wives, Tony and Joan Price, Derrick and Amanda Arnette, and Andrew and Haley Arnette, all of Pink Hill.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents, William Gordon Casey and Magdalene Jackson Casey; a brother, Keith Price; and a niece, Renee Price Houston.
