Leroy Core died Tuesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Funeral will be Saturday at noon at Elm Grove Church in Pikeville. Interment will be at Union Grove Church Cemetery.
He was born April 27, 1934, to the late Jessie and Florence Core in Wayne County. He was married to Verna Core.
He is survived by seven children.
Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family will receive friends at 209 Brentwood Drive.
Arrangements are by E.M. Matthews Funeral Home and Cremation Inc.
