Hazel Joyner, 93, passed away Sunday morning at Wake Medical Center.

Born in Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert House, and the wife of the late Norman Joyner.

Hazel resided in Wayne County all of her life, and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at Shumate-Faulk Funeral home Monday evening at 7 p.m., with pastor John Shore officiating.

The family will visit with friends after the service.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 12:30 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.

Hazel is survived by two sons, Isom Barbour Jr. of Dudley and William Albert Renfrow of Jacksonville, Fla., four daughters, Myrtie Jamison and husband, Jamie, of Houston Texas, Ester DeWalt of Minneapolis, Minn., Carol McCullen of Dudley and Rose Willoughby and husband, Gene, of Dudley.

She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and 64 great-great-grandchildren.
